Congresses / Workshop: Anemia in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases
Inflammatory bowel diseases (Chron's disease and ulcerative colitis) are often the aethiological factor for iron deficiency anemia (IDA). Despite of sometimes weakly expressed clinical signs, IDA could lead even to the death of the patient.
In vast majority of such patients, intravenous iron drugs is very effective. This treatment could improve patients state, refill empty iron storage in the body and improve general well being. These drugs are widely used in the clinical practice all over the world.
